In Ethiopia most of the teachers are struggling with limited teaching resources and with the fact that the teaching system is basically delivered manually using blackboard, whiteboard and chalks, manual roasters and grade recording systems etc. which takes up wide amount of the teacher's time and distract their focus away from the subject matters and professional development which is affecting the growth of educational system towards quality of education.
Backa Community Development Association aims to provide personal computers for teachers in order to assist the digitalizing of the teaching system and transformation of education towards a better quality by contributing to the professional development of the teachers and by filling the gaps in the access of teachers to digital teaching materials.
BCDA has been paying salaries of teachers in 7 schools.
