Backa Community Development Association (BCDA) is an Ethiopian based non-profit organization that has been working on number of sectors inculding Education, Health, WASH, Agriculture, Youth and Women Empowerment, Orphans and Emergency relief benefiting more than 500,000+ individuals since it's establishment in 2012.

Tractor
& Pumps

BCDA provided 5 agricultural tractors and 6 agricultural pumps to empower farmers in Arsi zone of Oromia region.

• 7 Schools

  BCDA has supported 7 primary & secondary schools by providing school materials, construction of class rooms, paying salaries for teachers and staffs and providing learning materials i.e. Text book, exercise book, pen, pencil and uniform for students.

• Medical Caravan

  Medical Caravan was set up by BCDA in Dera city, Arsi zone serving over 20,000 patients, and equipping the city's health center with number of medical instruments and basic medications. In addition, BCDA has recieved a trophy & certification of appreciation from the Arsi zone governance office upon completion of this project.

• Women Self Employment

  The organization has also been making efforts to empower women-headed and impoverished families through self employment projects and initiatives. It has for instance provided a bakery to lift-up women in East Hararge zone.
